Graeme Souness is leaving Sky Sports at the end of the season, it has been announced.
The Liverpool great has been heavily involved in media work since his final managerial post as Newcastle United manager in 2006 and leaves after over a decade with the broadcasting company.
This news comes after popular presenter Jeff Stelling he would also be leaving his role, continuing the theme of big changes at Sky. A number of high-profile names including Matt Le Tissier and Phil Thompson have left their positions in recent times, meanwhile it also emerged in March that long-standing show Soccer AM would be coming to an end after 25 years on air.
Souness split opinion among supporters during his time working as a pundit, renowned for his no-nonsense opinions and refusal to back down, but will certainly not be forgotten by those he spent time with in the studio.

Reflecting on his departure from Sky Sports at the end of Liverpool's 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur, the Scot said: "I was given an opportunity to do this and it was magnificent. It has just been the most fantastic time for me. I love football, l care about football and l worry about it going forward, but in Sky's hands it is in good hands, it is in safe hands."
Paying his respects to Souness in the Sky studio, Jamie Redknapp added: “On behalf of everyone at Sky Sports, you were a legend as a player and for me, you gave me my start and just to be working with you every day, coming to work with your enthusiasm and love for the game… you were a great player, great manager and a great pundit. It’s been a pleasure. You probably should have sat on the fence a bit more.”
