Graeme Souness has stated that he'd like to see Virgil van Dijk get angry while playing for Liverpool.
The Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool man compared Van Dijk to his former teammate and Liverpool legend Alan Hanson, who also was seen as one of the best centre-backs in his era.
The Dutchman has made a solid comeback this season after rupturing his ACL last campaign, which lead to a rocky year for the Reds - as they would eventually finish third in the Premier League after looking like they'd be set to miss out on the Champions League spots.

Since coming back from his ACL, the 30-year-old has re-established himself as one of the best in the world - putting in continuous impressive performances.
And while he made a few errors against West Ham, he was part of the team which registered another clean sheet against an impressive Hammers side.
The win meant that Van Dijk now has 60 straight games at Anfield without a loss - a Premier League record.

And whilst Souness is a huge fan of his, he stated that he'd like to see him 'playing angry'.
Souness said: "I would like to see him get angry. I have never seen a great player who doesn’t get angry. He doesn’t get angry. It is too easy for him."
Van Dijk's composed nature comes across on the pitch, bringing that calming presence to Liverpool's backline since he joined in 2018.
