A popular restaurant chain is offering customers a free lunch for the rest of this week. Hungry diners can grab a free Crunchy Taco from all 95 Taco Bell outlets nationwide as part of its latest campaign.
Available from 12-2pm until May 15, lunch goers can leave their usual snack at home and pick up a free Seasoned Beef or Black Bean Crunchy Taco worth £1.29. Taco Bell has created its Taco Swap Chrome extension to hack a friend’s lunchtime decision making with some not-so-subtle subliminal messages.
Available to download from the Chrome Web Store, pranksters can create an internet ‘taco-ver’ where every image on any website will be replaced with shots of crunchy tacos and fun animated taco gifs. As part of the plug-in feature, the Taco Swap Chrome extension will detect lunchtime phrases such as ‘meal deal’ ‘sandwich’ or ‘salad’ and immediately send a prompt highlighting the nearest Taco Bell to claim the giveaway.
Customers will be able to enjoy their choice of filling, whether it’s the delicious, Seasoned Beef or Black Beans, topped with cheddar cheese and freshly chopped lettuce in a hard-shell corn tortilla.
Gino Casciani, general manager for Taco Bell UK & Europe, said: "Following the success of our first-ever global marketing campaign last May, we’re excited to build on this momentum with the hope of giving consumers another reason to consider Taco Bell as their mealtime go-to.
"In true Taco Bell fashion, our hope is that Taco Swap brings our customers in for a crunchy taco when they’re looking to break free from the everyday.”
