Gov. Walz commended the collaborative efforts of federal, state, and local authorities in responding to the aftermath of the hurricane, which has tragically claimed the lives of at least 128 individuals across six states and left millions without electricity.
He emphasized the importance of following the guidance provided by state and local officials in affected areas, highlighting the effective coordination among various agencies involved in the response efforts.
Looking ahead to the upcoming vice presidential debate, Gov. Walz mentioned that he was in northern Michigan preparing for the event. Despite his anticipation for the debate, his thoughts remained with those who have been affected by the hurricane.
