Florida Governor Ron DeSantis expressed strong disapproval towards the actions of anti-Israel agitators who tore down an American flag from a public building in Washington and proceeded to burn it while celebrating Hamas. Governor DeSantis emphasized that such behavior should not be tolerated and called for the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

The incident occurred during a protest in the nation's capital while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was addressing Congress. In addition to burning the flag, some protesters defaced public buildings and statues with pro-Hamas slogans, prompting further condemnation from Governor DeSantis.

During a statement on Thursday, Governor DeSantis labeled the actions of the agitators as a 'complete disgrace' and questioned why they had not been apprehended and faced legal consequences. He highlighted that such behavior, including spray-painting 'Death to America' on public statues, would not be tolerated in Florida.

Governor DeSantis affirmed that any similar acts would have been swiftly addressed within the state of Florida, stating, 'We would have stopped that, I have no doubt. Every jurisdiction in this state would not have allowed that to happen.'

The governor's firm stance against the desecration of the American flag and public property aligns with his commitment to upholding law and order. Governor DeSantis' call for accountability underscores the importance of respecting national symbols and condemning acts of vandalism and incitement.
