Gorka Marquez has finally broken his silence on reports he's ready to quit Strictly Come Dancing, telling a fan on Instagram not to believe the speculation.
Sadly for Gorka, after he reached his third Strictly final earlier this month, alongside celeb partner Helen Skelton, he ended the series empty handed once again, with viewers instead handing victory to Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal. After that disappointment, it took just days for speculation to swirl that Gorka wanted to walk away from Strictly, having previously reached the final with Alexandra Burke and Maisie Smith.
An insider told The Sun: "Gorka has become an established figure in the contest and a name in his own right, which could allow him to go on to bigger things."

The news that Gorka could be about to walk away from the Strictly ballroom left fans gutted, but the man himself has now spoken out to shut down the rumours. On Wednesday, Gorka posted a photo of him, other half Gemma Atkinson and the couple's daughter Mia on his Instagram grid.
In the comments thread of the post, one of his followers wrote: "Can't believe you've left Strictly," along with a series of crying emojis. After other fans told the woman that the reports weren't true, Gorka himself replied, telling her: "don’t believe it."
Other fans pointed to the fact that ex Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Gemma had already denied the reports on her Instagram story. Sharing one of the articles that appeared online about Gorka leaving Strictly, Gemma wrote: "Keep being sent this. Wish I hasn’t said to all backstage crew 'see you next year' now," she wrote.
"Obvs this isn’t true at all! Same as it wasn’t true about Gio last year. Merry Christmas!"
