Gorka Marquez earned some major brownie points with his daughter when he brought her a little gift home from Strictly Come Dancing. The Spanish dancer is back on screens on Friday night (September 23) as the hit BBC One dance show launches its 2022 series.
He'll then be back, with his professional partner in tow, for the first live show of the 20th series on Saturday night after the launch show was moved during the period of national mourning following the Queen's death earlier this month and her state funeral, which was held two days after the hit show should have returned to screens.
Taking to Instagram, Gemma Atkinson shared an adorable video of three-year-old Mia in the kitchen of their Greater Manchester home getting to grips with the gift her 'papa' brought back home with him from Strictly rehearsals.

The toddler could be seen donning a vibrant peach ruffled skirt that is often seen being worn by one of the show's dancers. "When pap brings you home an actually Strictly dress," Gemma, 37, penned alongside the sweet video of Mia who looked absolutely chuffed with her gift.
"She's obsessed," Gemma, who starred in the 2017 edition of Strictly where she met now-fiance Gorka, as her little girls twirled around with her blonde locks in adorable pigtails.
Prior to the Strictly launch show going to air, Gemma teased who Gorka's partner could be. After a rough night being woken by her dog who had suffered a bit of a smelly accident, her husband-to-be decided to make her morning a bit easier by setting out her coffee cup alongside her other morning essentials alongside a cute note.
"I love you!! Have a nice day," the message read as Gemma could be heard in a video on her Instagram Story saying: "Bless you, Gorks," before sharing another written message. She typed over the short clip: "Bless him. He's gone dancing! His partner is just so wonderful and has already been SO kind to myself & Mia."
She then cheekily added: "Can't wait for you to find out who it is on Friday." And before his busy schedule with the BBC show really kicked in, Gorka enjoyed a father-and-daughter day out and shared some heart-melting snaps with his hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers.
One of the photos showed the 34-year-old beaming while a windswept Mia grinned at the camera while enjoying a ride of a carousel. They were then seen on a quick pit stop for some refreshments before hitting the park where Mia let off some steam. "Mia and Papa Day!!" Gorka typed alongside the string of photos.
"Perfect day out with my bestie, we went for brunch eat cakes drink coffee(babychino), play in the park, pretend to drive papa’s car, go shopping and have a well deserved nap watching encanto. And she already asked to watch Fireman Sam in bed with me cos mummy is not home …"
He then added: "@glouiseatkinson she’s to Smart," before the Hits Radio host and former soap star quickly responded. She warned him in the comments: "Don’t cave on the bed thing!"
