'Gorgeous!' - Manchester United fans go wild after Paul Pogba's goal vs Burnley

Manchester United made the perfect start to their Premier League clash with Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday evening, getting their noses in front with less than 20 minutes on the clock through Paul Pogba.

Just minutes after fellow Frenchman Raphael Varane had seen a header chalked off for offside against Harry Maguire, Pogba - making his first Premier League appearance since October - rifled the ball high into the roof of the net after connecting with Luke Shaw's low cross.

It was a smart finish from the midfielder and one that soon ensured United's players and supporters forgot about Varane's disallowed effort.

The midfielder, who started in place of the absent Fred, was quickly mobbed by his team-mates and could barely hide the smile on his face after netting his first goal of the season.

Having got himself back amongst the goals, United's supporters soon took to social media to react to the Frenchman's strike.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what they had to say.

As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, United's supporters were in awe of Pogba's opener, with the strike being one that any player would be proud of.

It was a cool, composed finish and one that fans will hope to see more of over the coming weeks and months now he's returned from injury.

United thought they had netted a second just a few minutes later when a low cross was turned into his own night by Clarets midfielder Josh Brownhill. However, the goal was immediately chalked off because of a foul in the build-up from Pogba, although it appeared to be incredibly harsh.
