Good Morning Britain viewers are calling on bosses on the ITV show to make an 'urgent' change to its hosting line-up and get Gordon Smart back as a permanent presenter.
Journalist and former Radio X host Gordon made an unexpected debut on the breakfast programme at the end of last few, in the run up to New Year, with the Scottish star fronting GMB alongside Charlotte Hawkins. News of Gordon joining the ranks attracted plenty of attention, with viewers hoping he'd be a 'breath of fresh air' to proceedings.
And, within minutes of his first show at the helm beginning, Gordon received plenty of positive feedback from people watching at home, with Charlotte reading out a number of messages that had come in for viewers, who were delighted with how he was doing.

Gordon and Charlotte teamed up again to host Friday's Good Morning Britain but, as the show aired its first live episodes of 2023 on Tuesday and Wednesday, the two had been replaced by Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley.

While there were plenty of fans pleased to see Susanna back on the show after her festive break, Gordon being ousted in favour of Richard was not a move that went down well. Calling for a switch to be made ASAP, one critic blasted: "Why does Richard Madeley make ever news item about himself. So smarmy and irritating. Get rid and bring back Gordon Smart."
Also backing Gordon for a full time job, another tweeted: "@gordonsmart presenting alongside either @CharlotteHawkns or @susannareid100 when @benshephard is not available - that's your new full-time presenter. Gordon did such a great job last week that he deserves a long-term contract," with a third commenting: "They’d be more viewers if Madeley wasn’t on.. only watch on days he’s not on."
