Gordon Ramsay to open new TV hub in Glasgow city centre

Gordon Ramsay is opening a TV studio in Glasgow to produce a much-anticipated new food and drink show.

Studio Ramsay – the celebrity chef's TV production company – is launching its third hub in Bath Street, where the second series of BBC One's Future Foodie Stars is set to be filmed.

The brand new show is an Apprentice-style competition which sees foodie entrepreneurs across the country go head to head to win life-changing investment for their business.

The company is currently recruiting for local production executives, development executives and producers to work on the programme.

Studio Ramsay also has studios in London and LA – but Johnstone-born Ramsay said it's a "dream come true" to open in Scotland's biggest city.

Gordon Ramsay added: "There is so much opportunity to develop some fantastic new programme ideas with a great new team in this super creative city, myself and the team are excited to move in and get going!”

Lisa Edwards, Chief Creative Officer said: “We’ve been keen for a while to set up a production hub in the nations and regions, outside of our Studio HQ in London. With our founder, Gordon Ramsay’s Scottish roots, and the hugely creative and talented work force in and around Glasgow, it feels like a natural progression as part of our ongoing growth strategy to look at growing our team in this vibrant city.”
