Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars: When it starts, what they win and everything we know so far

Gordon Ramsay is ready to take the UK by storm with his brand new BBC show Future Food Stars.

The celebrity chef is no stranger to the small screen as he's fronted many different cooking shows: Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Hotel Hell, Masterchef and more.

The famously foul mouthed chef will have 12 new food and drink entrepreneurs battle it out in an intense competition for his investment.

Ramsay, 55, will see the show air in both the UK and the USA at the same time after broadcasting company Fox bought the rights.

A source told The Sun: “Gordon’s super-excited, as it’s the first time that he’s had a programme like this on television in the UK as well as the US, with Fox and the BBC at the same time – it’s a big deal for him.

"He is very much looking forward to filming Stateside in the new year, where he has a home, and investing in the show’s winning US entrepreneur to add to his American portfolio.

"Beeb producers are all very excited — the challenges on the series are pretty epic, plus the personalities of all the contestants are huge’’.

In an impressive move, despite not one single episode of Future Food Stars airing yet - the series has been booked for a second season.

So, what’s the format of Future Food Stars?

The series will follow an Apprentice-style format which will see 12 food and drink entrepreneurs battle it out to win investment in their business from Ramsay himself.

In a teaser for the first episode, contestants are already being pushed out of their box by the Michelin star chef.

Gordon invites his entrepreneurs to Cornwall, where he shocks them with a high-pressure individual challenge in which they must overcome their fears and put their faith in him.

Gordon also wants to see how they work in a team using the finest local produce, so challenges them to run food shacks on a beach.

The teams must impress Gordon with their innovation skills, as well as their team work and ability to impress him.

Only the ones who impress will continue on this epic adventure.

What do the Future Food Stars contestants win?

According to the show's synopsis, "Gordon will push everyone to their limits through a series of relentless challenges that tests their character and business acumen. The person who impresses him most will win a life-changing investment."
