Gordon Ramsay's restaurant team is in the process of taking over the iconic Le Gavroche site in Mayfair a year after it closed its doors, according to industry insiders.
There are rumours the former Restaurant Gordon Ramsay chef patron Matt Abé will be in charge of the kitchen.
On the Westminster Council website it is Union Street Cafe, a more casual arm of the Ramsay empire, which has successfully applied for a premises licence transfer at the site on Upper Brook Street.
Named on the application as premises supervisor is Silvano Giraldin, a one of London's best-known front of house operators who oversaw the dining room at Gavroche for more than 30 years.

The Roux family's Gavroche, which then held two Michelin-stars, closed in January 24 after 56 years.
At the time, Michel Roux Jr told this newspaper that he was looking for a better work/life balance and called time on his long tenure in the busy kitchen.
Ramsay is no stranger to Gavroche. He cooked there under the late Albert Roux — Michel's father — in the early Nineties before going on to work for Marco Pierre White at Harvey’s.
The Standard has contacted Gordon Ramsay Restaurants about the future of the site.
Ramsay most recently launched a host of new restaurants at 22 Bishopsgate, including a chef's table spin-off of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, he three Michelin-starred flagship in Chelsea.
