Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay surprised diners when he popped into an Indian restaurant on Newcastle's Quayside for his tea.
The TV star enjoyed a meal with his production team at Khai Khai last night just hours after he was spotted strolling along the Quayside.
Ramsay is understood to be filming a new project in the area with a recording crew set up at Gateshead's popular Trakol restaurant throughout most of the day. However, details are strictly under wraps.

The Kitchen Nightmares star took a break from filming to try the 'chef's feast' at Khai Khai, which he washed down with a Tandoori Pineapple Martini, according to staff. And restaurant bosses were delighted when Ramsay went into the kitchen afterward to thank the team for his meal.
Khai Khai owner Jaf Ali said: "We were delighted to host Gordon and his production team at Khai Khai last night. Chef Ramsay is a total gentleman with a real presence.
"He was warm with our team but also with customers in the restaurant. He ordered the chef's feast with a Tandoori Pineapple Martini.
