Former Ireland rugby international Gordon D’Arcy has joined the Wexford hurling backroom team.
Darragh Egan, Wexford's manager, confirmed the former Ireland and Leinster centre joined the county and he is now part of a backroom team littered with big names including Billy Walsh, the former Irish Boxing Head Coach and now USA coach.
Wexford will be at Croke Park on Sunday as they take on Dublin in the Walsh Cup final.
Speaking to South East Radio, Egan said D’Arcy has been "brilliant" on match days.
"He really loves his hurling," he said.
"He has some brilliant kind of ideas for us and brilliant kind of match-day tips and tricks for me. He’s imparting that information to us at the moment, so it’s great."
"Even pre-match and so on, Gordon would be keeping an eye on how warm-ups are going and things like that, some of the bits of information that he gives to me then, it’s real quirky stuff."
D’Arcy was capped 82 times for Ireland and is also a former British and Irish Lion.
He was voted player of the Six Nations tournament in 2004 as he helped inspire his country to the Triple Crown for the first time since 1985.
