Newcastle United continued their fine Premier League unbeaten run with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with West Ham on Saturday evening. The Magpies, who took the lead inside three minutes, burst out the traps at St James' Park but were pegged back by a stubborn West Ham side.
Eddie Howe's side were without the suspended Bruno Guimaraes for the top flight clash but were bolstered by Anthony Gordon's arrival on Tyneside. The winger was introduced off the bench with 20 minutes and impressed the home support.

Gordon leaves Bowen fuming
Anthony Gordon replaced Allan Saint-Maximin in the 69th minute as Newcastle looked for a late winner. The attacker almost set Callum Wilson up for his second and even had his own effort deflected wide from the edge of the box in the closing stages.
Moments later, West Ham sensed they could steal all three points for themselves as they launched a late counter attack. Jarrod Bowen was played in behind with Newcastle limited in defensive numbers to try and stop the 26-year-old.
Thankfully Gordon sprinted back to help out, catching up with Bowen as he ran towards Nick Pope's goal. The West Ham eventually lost the ball after Gordon sneakily held onto his sleeve to try and hold him back.
Referee Peter Bankes missed the incident and allowed play to continue despite Bowen's appeals for a free-kick. The former Hull City star also made his feelings known to the fourth official and the linesman as he raged about what he deemed to be a foul from Gordon.
Rice's full-time gesture
Declan Rice enjoyed a standout performance in the north east on Saturday, impressing from the outset as he spearheaded West Ham's recovery from a slow start. The midfielder's dominant performance has Newcastle fans praying he is on the transfer shortlist for the summer.
Rice was one of the last of the away players off the pitch at full-time, taking his time to go over and applaud the travelling support. As he made his way towards the tunnel, he noticed a group of Newcastle fans in the crowd.
Rice took his match shirt off, handed it to West Ham assistant and former Newcastle star Kevin Nolan, and asked him to go and give it to the young supporters waiting patiently behind the dugout.
A nice touch by the England international.
Bruno's on babysitting duty
Bruno Guimaraes' red card in the Carabao Cup semi-final means he won't be back in action for Newcastle until the final later this month. The Brazilian took his place in the stands at St James' Park to cheer his side on from the sidelines.
Guimaraes was flanked by his partner and their newborn Mateo and was captured on Sky cameras midway through the game. The former Lyon man was armed with a bottle of milk as he helped out with parenting duties, making sure to keep one eye on the action unfolding on the pitch.
Bruno was again spotted later in the game signing autographs for passing fans. Even when he isn't on the pitch, he's still the centre of attention.
