Rep. Joe Wilson, R- S.C., has announced his intention to propose the development of a $250 bill featuring President Donald Trump. Wilson stated that he is drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design the bill with Trump's portrait.
Wilson cited concerns about the impact of inflation on the economy, leading to the need for higher denomination bills. He referred to the proposed $250 bill as the 'most valuable bill for the most valuable President.'
Under current U.S. law, only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on U.S. currency and securities.

Wilson, a long-serving member of the House of Representatives, is not the only GOP lawmaker seeking to honor President Trump. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., recently introduced a measure calling for Trump's likeness to be added to Mount Rushmore.
The text of Luna's proposal specifies that the Secretary of the Interior, through the Director of the National Park Service, should arrange for the carving of Trump's figure on Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
Mount Rushmore currently features the likenesses of Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
Luna praised Trump's leadership and dedication to America's greatness, asserting that his legacy deserves recognition alongside the nation's most revered presidents. She emphasized that Trump's impact on history should be commemorated on Mount Rushmore.
Luna expressed confidence that Trump will be remembered among the great presidents who have shaped the nation's history.
