Goose Fair discount vouchers printed in the Nottingham Post can save you £20

Roll up, roll up! It is almost time for Nottingham to welcome back the Goose Fair after a long three years away. Forest Recreation Ground is set to be filled with mushy peas and mint sauce, rollercoasters, cocks on sticks and fun houses.

Goosey the mascot will return to her rightful place on the roundabout on Mansfield Road and showmen will be bringing around 500 stalls and rides. And keeping with tradition, the Nottingham Post will be once again offering vouchers to the historic fair.

The annual extravaganza has been extended from five to ten days to make up for its absence. It will take place from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 9. Before Covid the fair attracted around 420,000 visitors from across Nottinghamshire and beyond.

Visitors can expect the latest white knuckle experiences, family rides and the old favourites including waltzers, carousels and hook-a-duck. Thrill-seekers can take on the likes of AtmosFear, Bomber Mach 2, the Giant Wheel and Mouse coasters.

Trying everything out can start adding up of course, especially if you take the whole family to Goose Fair, so it may be worth getting hold of some discount vouchers which can save visitors £20.

The coupons can be found in the Nottingham Post on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th September, Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th October. They will come as 50p off vouchers which equates to £20.

Vouchers can be used during the opening hours from Monday to Thursday and from 4.00pm until 6.00pm on Fridays. The vouchers are not valid after 6pm on Friday or on Saturday and Sunday.

The opening times for 2022 will be:

  • Monday to Friday: 4pm to 11pm
  • Saturday: noon to 11pm
  • Sunday: noon to 9pm

William Percival, chairman of the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Showmen's Guild, previously told Nottinghamshire Live : "With it being a longer period of time, because of the cost of fuel and everything else, we have reduced it down. Usually those days in the week it's very quiet in the afternoons anyway."
