The face of Liverpool is everchanging, with new developments popping up, and unofficial landmarks sadly disappearing.
Thankfully, there is a handy way people can take a trip down Memory Lane and have a look at how things once were. Street View is a Google feature that provides interactive panoramas from positions along many streets in the world.
Streets with the feature available are shown as blue lines on Google Maps. Google cars regularly take photos of streets and these are stitched together for the Street View display. Images are updated every so often.

Over the years, we've seen some amazing new places pop up in Liverpool. While change is inevitable, it can be nice to fondly look back on times gone by.
From retail parks, to well-known drinking hotspots, and even Anfield Stadium, there have been massive changes since 2008.
How many of these places can you remember as they were? Check out our gallery above to see how things have changed.
