The most visited places of interest on Google Street View in Ireland have been revealed as the tool celebrates its 15th birthday.
The iconic feature has allowed us to view our own homes from the comfort of our homes and if you’re feeling curious, maybe even further afield.
There are some places that get paid a visit more often than others so much so that they can be broken down into two categories.

The idea of Google Street View was ambitious from the start, with Google co-founder Larry Page setting out to build a 360-degree map of the entire world.
At first it may sound impossible but over the years it became a reality as now there are now over 220 billion Street View images from over 100 countries and territories all available to be explored from your own home.
Not only can you view these places, one quick tap on a location and you unlock its history.
As Google Street View grows and changes so does the technology.
At one point a camera was carried by a camel in the desert and zipped across the Arctic on a snowmobile, there is now a new method being trialled.
According to Google “this new camera takes all the power, resolution and processing capabilities that we’ve built into an entire Street View car, and shrinks it down into an ultra-transportable camera system that’s roughly the size of a house cat. But unlike house cats, it’s ready to be taken to remote islands, up to the tops of mountains or on a stroll through your local town square.”
