Users of Google Maps have been weirded-out by a strange 'bloody puddle' spotted online.
The bizarre image features two white circles and an area of red in the aerial shot.
Images of the unusual sight in an unknown field were posted on the Reddit and GoogleMaps leaving people scratching their heads at the mystery.
One poster GelapopShipper_09 captioned the screenshot with: "What the heck is this?"
The Daily Star reports the sight left many Reddit users questioning what the image contained.
"Someone swatted a really big fly," one Reddit user jested.
Another offered a further explanation: "A place to sacrifice pigs the traditional way (cutting their throats)".
A third said: "Bloody puddle?"
But some people suggested the reality was much less interesting and reckoned the white structures were simply farm storage areas on the farm.
"Looks like 2 silos. The reddish colour is the sediment, possibly a high traffic area," said one person.
The user suggested parts of Australia had red earth which the would explain the image.
While someone else reckoned it was a place where animals went to eat and drink and it results in them churning up the ground which could be more visible by images from space.
Elsewhere on Google Maps, a little boy was spotted holding a pistol which prompted a mixed reaction from some fans on Reddit.
The image, posted to the subreddit r/googlemapsshenanigans shows a young child in a pair of shorts with no shirt or shoes, captioned with the words "You came to the wrong neighbourhood..."
The weapon was being held by his left hand by his side, but his face was blurred out as is usually done on the app.
The picture which was discovered on Street View in Negombo, Sri Lanka, led to a few jokes on the social networking site Reddit's forums, however, not everyone found it amusing
One user said: "His lil fingers can barely wrap around the handle. It’s sad when people have children in bad conditions."
Last month the Mirror told of a group of apparent cartel members wearing creepy masks have been unearthed on the app.
The four masked men were seen standing on a road in Moctezuma in Sonora, Mexico.
One of them is seen wearing a terrifying Scream mask on and another a Mexican luchador face covering.
A third is dressed like a werewolf alongside a man in a balaclava and hat.
The men were photographed in the area once known for the Sonora Cartel, one of the oldest and best-established gangs in the country.
