If you have a severe case of travel wanderlust this summer, Google Flights is on the case with its brand-new list of “must go” summer landing spots.
Don’t Miss: Google Adds a Travel Search Feature Bargain Hunters Will Love
Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google ranks its list based on consumer flight preferences using Google Flights. Top queries heading into the June-to-August summer travel season include these iconic destinations:
· London
· Cancun
· Orlando
· Rome
· New York City
Further down the list is Tokyo, Dublin, Barcelona, Seattle, and Boston.
Apparently, a growing number of travel consumers are opting to visit their favorite cities all by themselves. Google Flights reports searches “solo travel destinations” are up 120% over the past year, with New Orleans and Mexico City leading atop the solo hot spot list.
Couples are feeding their need for summer travel, too, with Google reporting that lovebirds are choosing Jamaica, Bora, Bora, and Turks and Caicos for their warm weather destinations.
Google Flights reports that passport searches are at a record high heading into the summer travel season, with the U.S. State Department processing 500,000 passports on a weekly basis. The State Department advises passport consumers to expect eight to nine weeks for expedited passport clearance and 10-to-13 weeks for routine passport clearance.
Google Flight is also out with a new guaranteed pricing feature that tracks airline flight prices. When targeted flight prices fall, Google will refund fliers the difference back from the original guaranteed rate.
