Google flight hack: Man explains how to book ridiculously cheap flights

Money is tight for a lot of people right now, so when it comes to booking a trip away it's important to keep the holiday as cheap as possible.

Most people are clued up on using Skyscanner to hunt for cheap flights, but a TikTok influencer has shared a novel way to find the best plane seats. Posting under the handle @ndainternet, he explained that you can go to Google flights, enter Bristol in the departure section and leave the 'where to' empty.

He then told his followers to click on the site's map section - where a list of locations will appear along with their prices.

For people who don't want a stop, there is an option in the advanced section to put 'non-stops', and you can also enter how long you want to go away for.

From Bristol Airport it showed direct flights to Porto for £34, Venice for £43, Madrid for £49 and Dubrovnik for £56. And travellers who are happy to have a stopover during their journey can fly to New York for £491, with one change in Dublin.

Dozens of people replied to his post, with many suggesting Google offered similar results to Skyscanner. However, lots of followers were impressed, with one saying: "Thanks really helpful didn’t know this it works."

Another said: "Me flying from Hamburg to Gdańsk for 8€." A third wrote: "Love this! any hacks for sunny destination hotels?"

And for those hoping to book a cheap deal for 2024 holidays, easyJet has just released its new dates for next year. Martin Lewis warned holidaymakers if they want to secure cheap flight tickets for next Christmas they should book their seats today.

The low-budget's airline's booking system is 'demand based', which means prices increase with the volume of people booking - so the earlier you book the better.

Martin Lewis said: "Easyjet launches its Christmas flights December 1 to March 23. Easyjet’s pricing is demand based, so the more people buying, the higher the price goes.

“Which means the early bird often catches the cheap worm, or flight. Tickets are released this Thursday morning, could be 5, could be 6, could be 7am.

“The likelihood is, can’t guarantee, but if you get there very early, you will get the prices very cheap. Every time it has worked before.”
