Good weekend for Irish League clubs in All Island Cup

It was a good weekend for Irish League sides in the All-Island Cup as they came away with three wins, one draw and one defeat from their five fixtures.

Abbie Magee and Danielle Maxwell were on target as Cliftonville fought back to beat Bohemians 2-1 at Dalymount Park.

Kiva Bates Crosbie had put the hosts in front in the first half but the Reds battled back to make it two wins from two.

Things were more straightforward for Glentoran as Carragh Hamilton's hat-trick helped them run out 5-0 winners over Peamount United.

Joely Andrews headed the visitors in front before Hamilton's 16-minute treble and Emily Wilson completed the rout.

Sion Swifts also hit the goal trail as they recorded a 4-1 win over Sligo Rovers.

A deflected effort off Kate Nugent gave Sion before Sarah Kiernan levelled matters.

Second-half goals from Kerry Brown, Caoirse Doherty and Tara O'Connor-Farren made sure of the win for the home side.

Keri Halliday's strike gave Linfield an early lead against Shelbourne who levelled things up late on through Megan Smyth-Lynch's free kick.

Crusaders went down 3-1 to DRL Waves at the UCD Bowl.

Mairead McCann reduced the deficit for the Crues after Michelle Doonan had scored in either half, but the hosts added a late third to secure the win.
