Bodybuilding and use of steroids
During the short conversation, Abu Salim says, Arnold talked about the importance of building physique without steroids.
Steroid use for bodybuilding and sports is discouraged and is illegal too. These are synthetic hormones which help with the growth and repair of muscle tissue. These are often used to enhance speed and strength as they accelerate these competitive characteristics in a person.
Bodybuilding and diet
As per reports, bodybuilders consume close to 4000 calories, 300 grams of protein and 500 grams of carbs per day.
As per a health journal: "During the bulking phase, which can last months to years, bodybuilders eat a high-calorie, protein-rich diet and lift weights intensely with the goal of building as much muscle as possible. The following cutting phase focuses on losing as much fat as possible while maintaining muscle mass developed during the bulking phase. This is achieved through specific changes in diet and exercise over a period of 12–26 weeks."
