Good Morning Britain viewers threaten to 'switch off' as they're issued three-day warning

Good Morning Britain viewers are threatening to 'switch off' as they were issued a three-day warning about a special change to the show. The ITV news programme was back on screens on Wednesday morning (May 3) with Susanna Reid back at the helm alongside Martin Lewis.

The Money Saving Expert was back fronting the show for his new regular 'Wallet Wednesdays' in which he acts as co-host of the programme as well as answering viewers' questions and explaining various changes to people's money amid the Cost of Living crisis.

But during the programme, a message was posted on GMB's Twitter account and featured a video of Susanna speaking to the camera from inside the London-based studio.

"Join us in celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla with a special episode of Good Morning Britain live from Westminster Abbey," the presenter said in the video in front of a new, royal-themed backdrop rebranded for the coronation this Saturday (May 6).

"We will be joined by famous friends, family, courtiers and commentators as the minutes tick down to this historic occasion," Susanna added of the special episode which will air from 6am on Saturday ahead of the historic ceremony.

But some of the show's viewers flocked to respond - and not all were positive. @MoiraR2023 sarcastically replied: "Mmm think I’m washing my hair then checking I’ve enough money to cover my bills this month!" @jjhlovessph commented: "I will be unplugging the tv on Saturday."
