Good Morning Britain viewers complain and 'switch off' over Love Island segment

It's officially Love Island season but if you're not a fan of the show you're probably not interested in hearing about it. That was very much the case among some Good Morning Britain viewers during Friday's instalment of the breakfast show.

On June 17 many GMB viewers took to Twitter and threatened to "switch off" or turn the channel over as Richard Arnold offered the latest update from the Love Island villa. The showbiz editor spoke to co-hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray about the gossip from Majorca, including the love triangle between Ekin-Su, Davide and Jay.

But many viewers were fed up with hearing about the show with @debbiedotmac writing: "Please @GMB can we just stop with the torture of @LoveIsland it’s dreadful and now I have turned over!!!!"

While @RichardHodge6 added: "@GMB please tell Richard Arnold to stop talking about Love Island. Seriously, people who watch your show REALLY aren’t watching it."

And @shadyadi72 said: "@GMB seriously if the love island updates are going to be a part of the show I’m gonna be switching over please stop!!"

"Why in gods name are @GMB reporting on love Island urgh," @JerrywithG asked.
