Good Morning Britain viewers were confused as they spotted a problem with Matt Hancock's "car crash" interview.
The former Health Secretary was grilled by Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on Tuesday's edition of the ITV news programme. The broadcasters questioned the West Suffolk MP on his stint on I'm A Celebrity.
Mr Hancock's participation on the light entertainment show came under fire as he was a sitting MP at the time and was forced to resign during the pandemic for breaking his own social distancing rules. The 44-year-old continued to defend his I'm A Celebrity appearance and insisted it was important to show another side of his personality and raise awareness of dyslexia.

However, the broadcasters held his claims to account as they asked if money was his primary motivation for going on the show. Richard revealed Mr Hancock had received £330,000 for his I'm A Celebrity appearance and donated just £10,000 of this to charities.
Richard branded the donation as a "small fraction" as he said: "If the money wasn't as important to you, why have you held on to most of it?" Mr Hancock responded: "I said I didn't primarily do it for the money. I primarily did it to show who I really am. I gave a five figure sum to charity. I am really proud of the money I raised for the charity."
Viewers following the show on Twitter slammed Mr Hancock's defence. MarkAshleyD said: "Matt Hancock is disgusting. I wish I never turned the telly on this morning. This is car crash viewing"
However, other viewers spotted a problem with the grilling as both Good Morning Britain and I'm A Celebrity are ITV programmes.
Jane said: "Am I missing something here ? #ITV paid him to go into the jungle and now he’s being questioned on it on another ITV program ???"
Tammy added: "So, they keep harping on about the money, but forgive me if I’m wrong, the company they work for agreed to pay him said money .. so, I suggest Susanna & Richard have a word with the ITV bosses if you’re so angry about it"
Daisy posted: "ITV is to blame for this idiot going into the jungle.. why did they allow it?"
Other viewers demanded the channel to stop giving Mr Hancock airtime.
Mr Lawrence commented: "Stop giving this guy airtime"
Gaz tweeted: "GMB should hang their head in shame allowing Matt Hancock so much airtime, he’s a sad excuse for a human being,"
Dan posted: "I cannot believe you’re giving this guy so much airtime !?"
The ECHO has approached ITV for comment.
