Susanna Reid was left issuing an apology to Good Morning Britain viewers as she made a bit of an error on the first edition of the programme of the week. The broadcaster was back at the helm of the ITV news show on Monday (June 26) alongside Ed Balls.
The pair were on hand to deliver the latest news headlines to viewers which included news of Sarah Ferguson's cancer diagnosis, as well as Elton John's emotional performance at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday night, thought to be his last-ever in the UK.
But Susanna appeared to get carried away and seemed to forget what time it was as she delivered an update to those tuning in at home following a brief pause in the programme.

"Good Morning Britain, it’s just gone six o’clock, welcome to the programme," said Susanna, welcoming the viewers at home. But Susanna quickly recognised she was wrong with the time but it was Ed who interrupted her first and corrected her.
"Seven o’clock," he interjected. Looking slightly coy, Susanna corrected herself and said: "It’s just gone seven o’clock, welcome to the programme," before she joked: "You don’t have an extra hour in bed." She then added: "I'm so sorry, my mistake."
It came after Susanna reflected on the news that the Duchess of York has been diagnosed with breast cancer admitting it was a "wake-up call" for her. The mum-of-three shared: "We want to send our best wishes to the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, because she has revealed – this has come as quite a shock – that she’s undergone surgery because of breast cancer."
Susanna, 52, added: "It was a routine mammogram on a Tuesday two weeks ago, she said on her podcast. She’s now out of surgery, but that’s remarkably fast, isn’t it? Two weeks ago she had the mammogram, she said she was reluctant to go... It’s been very hot weather and it was a bit of an inconvenience, [but] her sister said, 'You have to go.'
"I think the reason she’s open about this is she wants this to be a wake-up call to people." Susanna admitted she had not realised there was a change in policy and screening back in September.
She claimed: "Appointments used to be sent out for mammograms, now it’s an invitation, apparently, to make an appointment. As a result, just in London, 12,000 women are estimated to have missed out on breast screenings because of that new open invitations system."
Susanna then admitted she has received "one of those letters as an invitation to go". She went on: "And, of course, what have I done? Absolutely nothing. I haven’t booked in a mammogram. And I’m 52. I absolutely should take that up," before Ed added: "You should go!"
Susanna concluded: "I think there will be a lot of women this morning, finding out what has happened to Sarah Ferguson, feeling the same way I did – [thinking] there isn’t really a firm appointment, I haven’t got time to make one, who will be thinking differently."
