Pip Tomson took to Twitter to launch a furious rant after her dog was 'attacked' on Thursday morning.
Pip,. a real favourite with viewers of Good Morning Britain, is also a well known face to viewers in the North East, having been on local TV in the region for years. She became a co-presenter on Tyne Tees back in 2006, before her role switched to being a weather reporter and fill-in host for Tyne Tees and its Border-based sister show Lookaround in 2009.
She then swapped TV for radio as an occasional co-host of Tony Horne's famous breakfast show on Metro Radio, before moving onto Real Radio.
Since joining the ranks at GMB, Pip has had ITV viewers appealing for her to be given more opportunities on the programme, with some calling for her to be promoted to lead presenter.

And she was met with plenty of concern from her growing number of Twitter followers when she took to her timeline to vent about something that had just happened, with a warning to others who might think about doing the same. Shortly after 10am, Pip, a keen animal advocate and host of podcast The Petcast wrote; "A word of warning: if anyone EVER tries to kick my dog or any other dog I will explode. As the bloke who was just on the receiving end will testify. Have a great day people."
Fans were quick to respond in the comments thread underneath. Quick to respond, one asked: "Woah! What happened? Are the doggos ok? Pip replied, telling them: "They’re fine. The fella not so much."
Another of the news reporter's followers wrote: Me too, cannot accept or tolerate any abuse. I will challenge with no hesitation. We are their voice," with a third posting: "I would do the same - go from pleasant to nuclear in moments. Well done - hope you aren't too shaken."
However, others were left curious if Pip's dog had done something to provoke the move, with one responding: "A dog ran at me snapping and snarling at my ankles as I ran past. It wouldn't stop so I swung at it. The owner blamed me even though his dog was not under control. There is sometimes another side."
