Martin Lewis has issued a warning to anyone who has divorced.
The consumer champion is renowned for his financial advice and fronted Good Morning Britain earlier this week for the second edition of Wallet Wednesdays. The new monthly segment will see the 50-year-old offer financial advice to help viewers navigate their way through the cost-of-living crisis.
Martin also uses his social media accounts to dish out valuable advice and has taken to Instagram to issue a warning about pensions for couples who have separated. He said: "Don't accidentally leave your pension to your ex.

"You can't leave pension savings in your will. Die before taking your private/company pension and the provider/trustees decide what to do with it."
Martin urged people to act and make sure they have completed an expression of wishes (or nomination) form to avoid this issue. He added: "Fill one in (your provider should have them). If you have, but years ago check it's up to date or as I was told... Colleague's ex-husband was still on her nomination form. Family had to contest. Nightmare for all involved."
