Alex Beresford was congratulated by his Good Morning Britain co-stars as he returned to the ITV show for his first day back as a married man, explaining that the start of his big day was 'tinged with sadness,' as he tied the knot on the day of the Queen's funeral.
ITV weatherman Alex, famous for his very heated on air spat with Piers Morgan, hours before the host quit the show, was back in the studio to join main anchors Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins. And, as they crossed to him for the first time to get a forecast, they didn't let the moment pass without acknowledging his wedding.
Charlotte excitedly declared: 2Congratulastions to Alex, who's joining us un the GMB studio for the first time since your wedding," with Alex swiftly replying: "I'm easing myself in into married life. It's been a month now and it was just the most wonderful, magical day."

Elaborating more on his and wife Imogen McKay's big day, Alex continued: "You know when you just...you kind of envisage what your wedding is going to be like and the it happens exactly how you want it to,. it was just a beautiful" as pictures of the wedding flashed up on screen and Adil interrupted: "That looks stunning!"
In response, Alex explained: "We got married in Son Morey in Majorca, which is just a really dreamy location actually, as you can see in those pictures." The broadcaster then revealed that he the day started off on a rather sombre note as it happened on the day of the Queen's funeral.
He told Adil and Charlotte: "I watched the funeral on Spanish breakfast television and then in the afternoon had to get my head in the game to get married. So it was, yeah, a day of two halves." After Alex revealed that he and his wife hadn't had their honeymoon yet, Adil glanced at the wedding photos again and quipped: "How do you beat that? That looks like a honeymoon!"
