Prime Minister Boris Johnson has enraged Good Morning Britain viewers after he was late to his first interview on the programme in nearly five years. Viewers took to Twitter to express their anger at the Prime Minister's tardiness as The Mirror reports.
Mr Johnson was 15 minutes late to the interview which was due to start at 8.15am with Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid. During the intense interview Susanna quizzed the PM on everything from the cost of living crisis, the war in Ukraine, and if he was a liar over the suspected parties during lockdown.
The disruption caused to the programme by Mr Johnson being late meant fellow hosts Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh spoke with comedian Patrick Kielty earlier than originally scheduled. Many viewers believed the Prime Minister was deliberately showing up to the interview late to avoid tricky questions.

One person said: "I think the PM is hoping GMB ends before he turns up for the interview." Another added: "Where is this interview. By the time he shows up there’ll be no time for questions. Ahh.."
A third said: "So where is the blundering idiot then? He is playing this one knowing the programme finishes at 9am. I predict he turns up at 8.55." And one said: "Is Johnson deliberately late so he can run down the clock n not get asked many uncomfortable questions."
Many were fed up that the Prime Minister was unable to turn up on time for the interview which was happening in his own house, Number 10 Downing Street. One said: "How can he be so late.. He lives upstairs." and another added: "Boris Johnson was literally 20 minutes late for an interview in his living room. I give up."
This was the first time Boris has appeared on Good Morning Britain since 2017 and it was widely believed that Boris and his ministers were boycotting the show during the coronavirus pandemic. Recently, while on a campaign trip in north Wales, the Prime Minister confirmed a nuclear power station in Anglesey "is going to happen."
