Good Morning Britain viewers will be waking up to a new face on their TV as the ITV show gets a shake up.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the amazing stable of talent, in front and behind the camera, on Good Morning Britain.", Gordon said ahead of his debut.

"So many of the issues facing the country right now are close to home and I’m relishing the chance to join the debate.", he added.

Gordon will present the show on Thursday and Friday from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX. Regular presenters Susanna Reid, Ranvir Singh, Richard Madeley, Kate Garraway, Ben Shephard and Martin Lewis will all return in the New Year, the Mirror reports.

This week Charlotte Hawkins and Rob Rinder are holding down the fort until Gordon steps in. Tomorrow will see I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here's Scarlette Douglas bring the latest in showbiz and entertainment news.

On Christmas Day, fans watched as Susanna Reid reunited with the little Ukrainian girl who went viral for singing Frozen's Let It Go in a bunker in Kyiv during the ongoing war with Russia.

Eight-year-old Amelia Anisovych first met the Good Morning Britain presenter in Poland in April, with Amelia and her mother arriving in the UK at a later date. Amelia wowed the world with her rendition of the track, and has since performed on stage in televised events including The Voice Kids in Poland.

For Christmas Day, GMB presenter Susanna welcomed Amelia onto the ITV show to discuss what she has been up to since they last talked to each other.

On the pre-recorded reunion, Susanna said: "It's such a delight to see you, I'm so thrilled to see you!" Amelia reveals she has been in America and has even recorded a song for a secret project.
