'Good luck Real Madrid' - Man City fans agree after Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo return for Champions League semi-final

Manchester City supporters have had their confidence boosted after Pep Guardiola named his starting line-up for the Champions League showdown against Real Madrid tonight (8pm). Guardiola has opted for two changes on the back of the semi-final first leg as he targets a place in the Paris showpiece.

Liverpool have already booked their ticket to the French capital on Saturday, May 28 after weathering the storm against plucky Spanish opponents Villarreal on Tuesday night. City were, meanwhile, 4-3 winners over Real in their pulsating last-four opener at the Etihad Stadium.

Kevin de Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Bernando Silva netted for City in that first meeting - and they each start at the Santiago Bernabeu as Karim Benzema, once again, leads the opposition charge after dragging his team back into the contest with two goals in Manchester featuring a Panenka-style penalty.

During the build-up City were handed a double boost for this game as Joao Cancelo (suspension) returned from a ban in this competition and Kyle Walker (ankle) took his first steps back on the training ground. England teammate John Stones is still missing, though, as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem.

Guardiola faced a more difficult selection dilemma first time around but, having had a closer look at Benzema and the newly-crowned Spanish champions, has settled on two alterations albeit Stones being out is an enforced one. In come fit-again Walker and Cancelo.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been withdrawn for tactical reasons as Walker starts at right-back and Portugal defender Cancelo on the left. Here are a selection of comments made by City fans on social media platform Twitter;
