The Easter bank holiday weekend is finally upon us, with many people gearing up for a well-deserved break with their family.
This year's Easter celebrations kick off with Good Friday on April 15 and many shops and supermarkets across Ireland will be altering their operating hours across the weekend.
Anyone looking to stock up on Easter eggs or get last minute supplies for Easter Sunday dinner is being advised to check their local shop and supermarket opening hours, as many will open late and close early.

Many stores have issued updates to customers ahead of the long weekend.
The majority of shops are operating either a Sunday or bank holiday schedule across Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, with some closing entirely on Sunday.

Lidl
All Lidl stores across Ireland will operate the same opening hours across the long weekend, and will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Friday, April 15 - 8am until 10pm
Saturday, April 16 - 8am until 10pm
Sunday, April 17 - Closed
Monday, April 19 - 9am until 9pm
Tesco
Tesco opening hours across Ireland will vary greatly with a lot of places implementing their usual Sunday hours.
Customers are advised to check their local store with the online locater to see what time it opens and closes.
SuperValu
Each SuperValu will likely be operating on Sunday hours but these all vary depending on the individual stores.

All Aldi stores across Ireland will operate the same opening hours across the long weekend, and will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Dunnes Stores
