Union Saint-Gilloise skipper Anthony Moris insists they are going to Ibrox to win next week and try and secure automatic promotion to the next stage of the Europa League.
Both Rangers and the Belgian club have done enough to reach at least the play-offs and even have an outside chance of reaching the top eight if a series of results go their way in the final games in the new-look format.
While Rangers were suffering late heartache at Manchester United, USG beat Portuguese side Braga 2-1 at home to put them level with countryman Philippe Clement's side on points ahead of next week's showdown.
And their captain, Luxembourg international keeper Anthony Moris, insists they can go to Glasgow and win.
He said: "We have a big game against Beerschot this weekend and then all thoughts turn to Rangers. We know we are good enough to win there.
"The win against Braga was really good for us because we had a lot of injured players. We were a goal down and showed huge character to come back.
"In the second half, we showed more intensity and went more direct and we will need that in Glasgow too."
And Union boss Sebastien Pocognoli was delighted with the win.
He said: "We have secured our season's objective to reach the play-offs and with a game to go too.
"Of course, we want to be in with a chance of the top eight and will have to go to Glasgow and try and win
"This was the club's 50th match in Europe and I am very proud of the players for marking this milestone with a great victory."
