Kevin Campbell has rubbished Ruben Neves' suggestion that Arsenal were too exuberant in their celebrations during their 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last week and used Liverpool as justification for his opinion.
The Gunners came up against Bruno Lage's in-form outfit at Molineux on Thursday and dug out a victory thanks to Gabriel's first-half goal.
Arsenal had to cling on in the final stages, as they were reduced to 10 men after Gabriel Martinelli was issued with a red card.
Afterwards, Neves was clearly miffed by the joy showcased by some of the visiting players.

"We saw the way they celebrated the win and that shows the level we are," said the Portuguese playmaker.
"I didn't see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years - it was like they won the league."
However, former Gunners and Everton striker Kevin Campbell believes any suggestion that Arsenal were over the top in their post-match antics is ridiculous and referenced Liverpool 's delight after a win at the same stadium earlier in the season.
"I actually laughed when I read that! Listen, players can say what they want – but it was a brilliant win," he said to Football Insider.
"It’s a tough game against a good Wolves team at their patch, and Arsenal were down to ten men – why shouldn't they celebrate?
"They certainly weren't celebrating like they’d won the league. If I remember rightly, when Liverpool beat them 1-0 at Molineux in the last knockings, they celebrated quite heavily too.
"Winning away is hard, especially at a place like Wolves – maybe they should take it as a compliment. If it's good enough for a team like Liverpool to celebrate, I think Arsenal can do it as well."
Liverpool won by the same scoreline at Wolves in December, although the circumstances were more dramatic.
The match appeared to be heading towards a stalemate, only for substitute Divock Origi to lash in a 95th-minute winner to keep Jurgen Klopp's team in touch in the title race.
