Professional golfer Billy Horschel has hit out after being turned down for a car hire in Edinburgh.
The American, who has played in the Presidents Cup and recently arrived in Scotland for the Scottish Open in North Berwick, hit out at company Sixt after arriving at Edinburgh Airport.
According to the 36-year-old, the company informed him they do not hire vehicles to professional athletes, as he took aim on Twitter over their "dumb policy," reports the Scottish Daily Express.

Billy, who has also racked up seven PGA Tour wins, said: "Hey @SixtUK @SixtUSA, I've rented cars probably 15+ times over the last 2 years from you all and now you tell me/decide that you don't rent cars to professional athletes as I'm trying to grab my car from Edinburgh Airport. Wow. What a dumb policy."
Horschel's followers rushed to condemn the decision, with one user joking: "Well that Suxts!". CBS presenter Amanda Balionis Renner said: "How is your job any of their business? That's wild".
And golf instructor Alex Johnson added: "While you're there can you see if they still have my luggage from three weeks ago?"
The Express approached Sixt for comment following Billy's tweet, with the company describing itself as an "internationally renowned car rental company". Its website claims: "We work hard to provide outstanding customer service".
Billy joined the likes of Rickie Fowler, Jordan Speith and Justin Thomas on the course in North Berwick to get some practice in ahead of the annual competition.
Also teeing off at the Genesis Scottish Open is American world number one Scottie Scheffler as well as other superstars of the sport such as Rory McIlroy. The event takes place just a week before the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool where Australian Cameron Smith will be defending his title.
