CONNOR GOLDSON has signed a contract extension at Rangers.
The centre-back, 29, has ended speculation over his future by penning a four-year deal at Ibrox.
Goldson's deal was set to expire in the summer, with Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest among clubs linked with a free transfer move.
However, despite Giovanni van Bronckhorst previously stating there was a "small" chance he would remain at Ibrox, Goldson has committed his future to the club.
A Rangers tweet announcing the deal, read: "#RangersFC today wishes to put on record our sincere thanks to Connor Goldson for his service to the club over the past four years…
"…as we look ahead to the next four years of having him at Ibrox"
On the contract announcement, Van Bronckhorst said: “I am delighted Connor has agreed to remain a Rangers player, as he has been fantastic for me both on and off the pitch since I arrived.
“His leadership is outstanding, and he is a huge influence on so many players around him, while his consistency of performance means he is someone I can always rely on.
“I am really looking forward to seeing Connor back for pre-season in a couple of weeks and to working with him again next year.”
