Though warm neutrals, detailed cabinets, and textured details are on-trend for 2025, they're also here to stay. These cozy, quiet luxury designs promote a clean and welcoming ambiance that will always be a style to watch. Goldie Hawn, Johnathan Scott, and Drew Scott tap into this timeless style on the most recent episode of Celebrity IOU.
In this installment of the beloved HGTV show, The Property Brothers worked together with Goldie Hawn to build her friend and chosen family member, Celia, her dream quiet luxury kitchen. 'The thing is that I’ve built my houses, I’ve decorated my houses—and then I get to do this for Celia, who is the angel of my life,' Goldie explains on Celebrity IOU. Celia loves to host large dinner parties, so the first order of business was opening the kitchen up to make it larger, brighter, and cozier.
The finished neutral kitchen idea certainly delivers. Images show that the team built her a gorgeous two-toned kitchen island, with natural wood shaker cabinets and black stone top. The Scott Brothers added a cream marble backplash for an air of luxury, and a textured extractor hood for a natural feel. Reflective white cabinets on the upper half of the room bring a bright and airy energy to the space.

Kitchen storage is solved with these matte and wood, high-volume jars. The lid can be removed to feature spatulas and cooking tools.
Keep your kitchen clean with this gorgeous gray marble spoon rest. The veins in this piece coordinate with the backsplash in this kitchen.
These titanium gold plated spatulas are perfect for storing in a glass container on the side of the stove to bring a brightening pop. They would look especially striking against a white backsplash.
Though the buzz around the quiet luxury trend has fizzled out, Goldie Hawn's space proves that it transcends passing fads. To recreate the look, focus on minimalism and texture. Richard Davonport, interior design expert at bespoke kitchen company Davonport advises: 'Whether you’re looking to bring quiet luxury into a living space, bedroom or kitchen, the mood is understated and high quality. Simplicity is king, with a perfect balance of clean lines, minimalism and functionality. Soft, organic shapes play their part, too. Forget over-the-top and extravagant – ‘quiet’ is the key word here – clutter is banished and less is, most definitely, more.'
To build your own cozy kitchen idea, be sure to focus on integrating details that will take the design to the next level. The metallic hot water tap in Celia's new kitchen is an example. Richard Davonport recommends: 'This trend might be simple but it’s not cold and minimal – so you’re encouraged to pick out details which appeal on a personal level. A hand-woven rug, velvet curtains, an artisan-made piece of furniture. Subtle touches of loveliness which elevate a room from the ordinary everyday to the exceptionally special.'
Warm neutral tones, shaker cabinets, and the use of natural materials will never go out of style. Quiet luxury will always be a trend, even if its name changes.
