Going to TRNSMT? You could be refused, removed or arrested if you have these items

Festivalgoers heading to TRNSMT this weekend are being reminded of what they cannot bring with them.

Organisers of the event, which will be held at Glasgow Green from July 7 to 9, have created a list of items which are banned from the festival.

Visitors to TRNSMT may be refused entry, removed from the festival or arrested if they are caught with any of the items.

CCTV and police detection dogs will be in operation at the festival entrances and across the whole site.

In particular, visitors found with flares and smoke canisters will be charged as it is a criminal offence to be in possession of these at events.

Delays to entry can also be expected while bag searches and ticket checks are carried out.

What items are banned from TRNSMT?

Bags and rucksacks bigger than A4 paper size

Glass (including perfumes)

Metal or hard plastic water bottles

Food or drink/liquids even if unopened

Drugs

Flares

Smoke canisters

Flags

Chairs

Professional cameras and selfie sticks

Umbrellas

Weapons

Frisbees/boomerangs

Hi-vis tabards or jackets.
