Gogglebox viewers have been left crying with laughter after beloved Dave the dog knocked Tom Malone senior off the sofa - and the brilliant moment was captured on camera. In the latest episode of the hit Channel 4 series, the Gogglebox families were shown watching Last Woman on Earth with Sara Pascoe.
In the series, comedian Sara visits communities around the world with unusual habits or jobs that are at risk of going extinct. In Easter Sunday's episode, Sara visited Antia in Greece and learnt about the community's rare "whistling" language which helps villagers communicate across grand valleys - and ensures their 'words' are heard far further than they would be if they were merely shouting.
After watching the programme, Tom Malone senior tried to show his wife and son, Tom, that he can also whistle - but almost immediately after thrusting his fingers in his mouth and starting to whistle, the family dog Dave leapt up on top of him. Chaos ensued - and Dave soon knocked Tom off the sofa. You can watch the video in the Tweet below:

Fortunately for Googlebox viewers, the hilarious moment was captured on film - and viewers across the country got a brilliant view of Dave rolling backwards off his sofa and falling on the floor.
"K**bhead! K**bhead Dave!" Tom said. "F*** it! Dave get off me!"
Viewers immediately took to Twitter to share their laughter. "Brilliant Dave!!! I rewound that!" said one. "I love Dave," said another. "Dave will kill Tom Snr one of these days!" joked another Gogglebox fan, while another viewer said the programme would never get any better than that moment.
"I think Gogglebox just peaked with Dave the dog," they said. "HAHAHAHAHA as if the dog just jumped on him and he fell off the sofa" added another.
Gogglebox continues Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
