Gogglebox fans were less than impressed with Channel 4's decision to sign a controversial duo for the Celebrity series.
Viewers of the Channel 4 show complained about ex-Number 10 Chief Press Secretary Alastair Campbell, 66, and his daughter Grace, 29, joining the panel.
Alastair was the Chief Press Secretary and official spokesperson for the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and is also an author and journalist.
He shared the news with a photo of him sitting on the sofa with his author and comedian daughter as they laughed at something on the television.
"If I was in two minds about doing @bbcquestiontime Brexit special last night I was in about two hundred minds about doing this one," he wrote on Twitter on Friday evening.
"But @GraceCampbell said it would be good for her 'brand'. Must be amazing to have a brand when one so young! #bulliedDad."
Fans immediately rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts on the news.
"Nauseating," one disappointed user said while another posted: "You have a brand Alastair, just it’s very tainted."
One Twitter user wrote: "Your soul is missing , I can see it in your eyes," and another added: "Odious little man."
"I don’t celebrate these two," one user shared their thoughts.
A few of his fans paid no mind to the criticism and celebrated his latest TV venture.
Other Celebrity Gogglebox stars who joined the series include couple Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston.
Fans of The Royle Family were overjoyed when it was exclusively announced earlier this month by Mirror Online that the beloved actors would be reuniting on TV screens once again.
Ricky, 83, played patriarch Jim Royle in the BBC comedy, with veteran actress Sue, 79, playing his wife Barbara.
Other newcomers to the sofa include Davina McCall and her boyfriend Michael Douglas, comedian Katherine Ryan and her husband Bobby, as well as BBC star Chris Packham with his step-daughter Megan.
Meanwhile, Alastair's daughter Grace previously revealed he was approached to join I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! before Matt Hancock jumped at the chance.
"My dad said no he's not doing it because he's just like extremely boring. But can you imagine me, my dad and Matt Hancock could have been in the jungle together this year," she said last year.
