Gogglebox has been slapped with more than 100 official complaints after viewers were left shocked by 'traumatising' scenes. The hit Channel 4 show returned to screens on Friday (April 22).
As usual, the families - including sibling duo Sophie and Pete Sandiford and best pals Jenny Newby and Lee Riley - were giving out their latest views on the most recent TV shows and breaking news.
Among the shows featured on the latest episode was AppleTV’s Roar. The feminist anthology series, which premiered earlier this month, is based on the 2018 short story collection of the same name by Cecelia Ahern and features Nicole Kidman as a producer.

The clip shown on Friday's Gogglebox was from "The Woman Who Was Fed By a Duck" which stars Merritt Wever. She plays Elisa who found herself striking up a conversation with a duck in the park. In the bizarre scenes, the pair become friends and it appears Eliza had a crush on her new companion.
Then, in scenes nobody was expecting, the Goggleboxers and viewers ended up witnessing the woman and the duck engaging in an intimate act as the bird instructed Elisa to lie on the floor and remove her trousers.
As the Gogglebox stars shared their reactions on-screen, viewers flocked to Twitter to have their say. @mummarebecca tweeted: "That show Roar. Is disgusting! Just seen a clip of a talking duck having oral sex with a woman on #gogglebox and I’m legit traumatised #roar WHO the hell came up with that show, and WHO approved it! Yuck."
"#Gogglebox should not be promoting shows that are basically insinuating bestiality. That was absolutely disgusting and wasn’t in the slightest bit funny," @AmyHowey16 complained.
@Rickodunbar wrote: "Well I’m never taking the kids down the park to see the ducks again after that. #Gogglebox."
"Just caught up with #Gogglebox & feel violated," @monkeykezza shared.
@QueenPeggles said: "OMG I just watched tonight’s episode of #Gogglebox and I need to wash my eyes out!! What the actual DUCK?!?!"
"We watched Gogglebox this evening. That duck programme #roar… I am actually traumatised. I’m genuinely upset," @helenrosep_ added.
Ofcom has now said that they received 149 complaints about the episode with the broadcasting watchdog confirming the complaints related to clips from Appl TV’s Roar.
