Gogglebox viewers were left gagging and feeling sick after seeing one of the worst injuries ever seen on TV.
Viewers of the show saw a clip of a woman's foot 'hanging off' after suffering a nasty fracture, causing some people to hide behind their sofas and others to start feeling sick. The scene from 24 Hours in A&E was "literally the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life" according to one viewer, reports MyLondon.
Another viewer, Dave Angell, tweeted: "We watch Gogglebox for the funny reactions of people on the show, not gross A&E horror stories. Far too gory to show someone's foot basically falling off in A&E and dangling about, proper disgusting and way too far."
Ben Dooks wrote: "Naaaaa. I’m not gonna be able to sleep tonight after seeing that foot hanging off in Gogglebox tonight." Faye Smith added: "Holy hell, did I miss the warning about what was about to appear on my tv screen on Gogglebox? I nearly passed out! Beyond grim! And not a good advert for charity runs."
Danni said: "Was not expecting to see this on Gogglebox tonight. Super shocked that the lady could move her foot after that." Bob chimed in: "Just saw something horrific on Gogglebox which I think was an open wound broken bone. Have convinced myself it was fake and not a vicious injury, or I will be awake for days to come."
One fan went on to share their own experience with a bad injury. Tracey Greaves said: "I broke my leg in three places and my ankle too a few years ago in a cycling accident. Was in a cast for the best part of six months and had to have surgery but Christ that was much more gruesome. I could feel her agony. I don’t blame her for lashing out Gogglebox."
Another man gave himself a shock after switching over from England's cricket match against New Zealand. He said: "Just flicked over to Gogglebox from cricket to be greeted by some poor woman's foot hanging off. It's scarred me in the same way the head popping out the boat in jaws did." The show returned for its latest season on Friday evening on Channel 4.
