They are our country's favourite armchair critics and many people envy their jobs, quite literally - but how much do Gogglebox stars get paid?
Gogglebox stars are said by many to have the ultimate dream job - they get paid to sit on the couch and watch telly! How about that?
Essentially, their job is to analyse programs aired to the entire nation. It sounds so easy that many have speculated that the Gogglebox stars are paid in dogs and takeaways, reports Lancs Live.

People swear by the sword that it can't be possible for people to get paid to sit and watch TV. However, being paid in dogs alone is a little extreme.
There is some truth, in the rumour that they get paid in takeaways. Well, sort of.
The truth is - drumroll - they get cash payments too. Each family is paid £1500 a month.
The money is split between members of the family. They also get takeaways and tasty treats to snack on during filming.
How do I become a Gogglebox star?
There is bad news and good news. If you ever dreamed of becoming a Gogglebox star then you are just in luck because the show is currently looking for new recruits - that is the good bit.
The bad news is, there is no straightfoward application process. You can't write an email, apply online or even audition.
Instead, a team of handy scouts go up and down the country looking for the new stars. Speaking about the casting, the show’s creator Stephen Lambert said in 2015: "Everybody on Gogglebox has been found and persuaded to be on the show and I think that’s the key to why they are likeable and why the show works, because we get to know these people. We’ve never advertised for people on Gogglebox."
Gogglebox, shown on Channel 4, has been hitting our screens since March 2013 and its nineteenth series began airing this February. The success of Gogglebox spawned three spin-off series, including a version featuring children ( Gogglesprogs ), a version featuring 16 to 24-year-olds as they watch online content ( Vlogglebox ), and a version featuring celebrities ( Celebrity Gogglebox ).
Channel 4 previously told the Daily Star : "The Gogglebox cast are filmed for two to three nights per week. We film them watching live television and some that has been recorded.
“The cast have received fees for their time on every series. The production team do not influence the comments. The reactions are genuine.”
