Gogglebox stars have left fans of the hit Channel 4 show devastated after they shared an update on filming for the show.
The famed armchair critics returned to screens for another season earlier this year and managed to scoop a TV BAFTA for the show this month.
But Gogglebox stars Julie Malone and her husband Tom Malone Sr have now shared a filming update on the Channel 4 show, sharing that this week's episode is the last of the series.
Tom Snr said in a video shared to the couple's joint Instagram page: “We're getting near the end of the series now. Julie is throwing out these big words. I said it's the second to last night, Julie is saying what?”
Julie then chipped in saying: “It's the penultimate night.”
Tom Snr then joked: “This is education for you, does nothing does it.”
The married couple’s fans were quick to share their disappointment at the news, with one commenting: “No I can't believe it's nearly the end of the series. Friday night is Gogglebox night.”
Another wrote: “Hate it when Gogglebox is no longer on on a Friday night.”
Another raved: “I bloody love you pair!!!! This show should never end my Friday nights revolve around gogglebox!!!” as a fellow fan wrote: “Love the Malone's.... Will be gutted when Gogglebox ends.”
Fellow Goglgebox stars Abbie Lynn and Georgia Bell, who are normally curled up on Georgia’s super-neat sofa, also confirmed the news on social media.
Sharing a boomerang of the pair to her Instagram Story, Abbie said: “Last one of the series let's goooo.”
Georgia, who is expecting her first child, echoed Abbie's post on her own page, writing: "Filming the last ep of the series."
This comes after Denise van Outen has confirmed who will be replacing her ex Eddie Boxshall on Celebrity Gogglebox.
The pair went their separate ways after she accused him of cheating on her and messaging other women - something which he recently admitted to - and now it has been revealed that Blue's Duncan James will be replacing him on the Channel 4 show.
Duncan, who is a good friend of Denise's shared on his Instagram story: “Can't wait to start filming Gogglebox with my bestie Denise.”
Denise reposted his story and added a love heart, as she confirmed for fans that she would be joined by the Blue singer on the celebrity version of the Channel 4 show for the foreseeable future.
