Gogglebox star Izzi Warner told how she picked up an unfortunate injury off camera in a bid to get her hands on a delicious sweet treat. The Leeds-based duo reminisced about the rite of passage that most youngsters have experienced after swimming - visiting the iconic vending machine.
Speaking on Friday’s episode of the hit Channel 4 show, the star told her sister Elie how she was hurt after her arm got wedged in the flap, Hull Live reports. Izzi said: "I went swimming yesterday, and what's the ritual when you've been with a child?" Ellie quickly added: "Vending machine."
Izzi continued: "I got my arm stuck in a vending machine yesterday. To add insult to injury, it were a pound for a snack-sized packet of Maltesers.
"Stick my hand in to grab them out, it got wedged, pulled my arm, and it got stuck in the flap and nicked me skin."
The unfortunate chocolate-based anecdote came as the stars of the show watched Kings of Pain. The series features biologist Adam Thorn and animal handler Rob Alleva as they test out their pain threshold.
This week's Gogglebox showed the pair being bitten by reptiles, leaving the star's in shock. Sopgie Sandiford compared the programme to the 'Tripadvisor for stings'.
While Ellie also recalled a moment her sister was stung on the tongue by a wasp while eating a Calippo. The incident happened during a trip to Scarborough beach.
Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm. Missed an episode? Catch up on All4 .
