Gogglebox star Georgia Bell supported as she shares motherhood insight and starts new job away from Channel 4 show

Gogglebox star Georgia Bell has been flooded with support after reflecting on her first nine months of motherhood as she returned to work. Fans of the Channel 4 show are used to seeing the 22-year-old alongside her best pal Abbie Lynn each Friday night as they dish their opinions on the latest TV shows and breaking news.

But last month, Georgia shared how she had made a decision on her career away from the Bafta award-winning programme. She revealed how she wouldn't be going back to hairdressing once her maternity leave came to an end after welcoming her first child into the world last year.

Georgia announced her baby boy's arrival back in July last year after confirming she was pregnant while on Gogglebox. Sharing a snap of her bundle of joy, who she shares with boyfriend Josh Newby, wrapped up in a white baby grow, she penned in the Instagram caption at the time: "Our beautiful boy has made his entrance!" She added: "12/07/22 at 12:31pm - 7lbs7.5ounz. Your perfect in every way Hugh James Newby."

Confirming her career change last month, alongside a picture of her son, she wrote to her hairdressing clients on her Instagram Story: "To all my wonderful clients, I just want to thank every single of you for all your support over the years of hairdressing.

"For those who may not already know, after much consideration, I have decided I will not be continuing hairdressing once my maternity leave is over! My next step will be something more suitable to family life." She added: "I can't thank you all enough and thank you so much to Daniel John for everything and being so amazing and supportive over the years."

And now, weeks on, Georgia has taken to Instagram on Tuesday (April 18) in disbelief as she revealed her maternity leave is over and she is set to start a new job. "How time is flying by!!" she typed on the social media platform alongside a smiling selfie of herself in the car with little Hugh in his car seat in the background.

"I honestly can’t get over Hugh is nine months old already," she went on. "I can’t believe the difference in me as a person from starting my ML to finishing it, I was absolutely petrified (as I’m sure every mama is, hats off to you all). I didn’t know a single thing about babas, I’d never really held/fed/changed I had so much to learn and what an absolute mind field it is.

"The most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me was becoming Hugh’s mam, he really is the most beautiful little soul. I’m the luckiest to have him and the most unreal family and friends who’ve helped me get through every step of the way so far not to mention Josh of course. Jesus he deserves a bloody medal as big as the moon."

She then concluded her reflective post: "I’m finishing of my ML being super proud of myself and going into a new job that I’m so excited for." Georgia's Gogglebox co star and best pal Abbie, offered a message of support.

Sharing a heartfelt message in the comments, she wrote: "Aw gorgeous Ge! I wish you all the luck in the world which I know you don’t need You’re the best mam and you have the most perfect little boy who I get to call my godson!!!!! @_joshnewby not forgetting you either! You’re an amazing dad too." She also reshared the post to her own Instagram and said: "This girl is amazing. You should be so proud of yourself." She also took to the comments to issue."

And her fans and followers were also showing their support. @kathandkinofficial said: "It goes so fast doesn't it. Good luck darling. You'll smash it." @jaynieb62 wrote: "Best of luck must be nerve wrecking to leave the little man for first time...... before you know it he'll be starting school!!!! You look amazing."

@brian.p227 replied: "Best of luck in your new job, you look fantastic!" @grandmadigsxx commented: "You're an amazing mumma and should feel incredibly proud. It's the best job ever." @hazelblue.floral.events added: "Good luck on your first day! Amazing mammy."
