A new family is joining Gogglebox, after Channel 4 searched for a new addition to make the hit show more diverse.
In November 2021, a casting team for the programme was tasked exclusively with finding participants from Scotland.
The channel's chief executive Alex Mahon confirmed the news in a letter to the Commons Scottish Affairs Committee, following a session in September on Public Broadcasting in Scotland.

The move came after the broadcaster received complaints from viewers, as well as MPs such as Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross, about the lack of Scottish representation on Gogglebox.
The reality show sees our favourite armchair critics give their take on the week's tele from their own homes.
Scottish Affairs Committee Chair Pete Wishart MP said: “Channel 4 has impressive credentials for supporting independent producers and offering opportunities for young people wishing to explore the sector.
"We are bursting at the seams with talent in Scotland, and I am pleased to hear Channel 4’s efforts to harness this potential."
All was revealed on Friday, in a tweet from the official Gogglebox account.
Channel 4 said: "Meet our new Scottish Goggleboxers Roisin and Joe!
"See you on the sofa for brand new #Gogglebox TONIGHT, 9pm on @Channel4."
Gogglebox legend Sophie Sandiford was quick to welcome the newcomers.
In a tweet, she said: "Wooo!! welcome to the Gogglebox family Roisin and Joe"
Gogglebox airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4
